•	The Athletics opened the regular season in Baltimore where they defeated the [[Yankees|Orioles]], 8-1

•	In response to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s reversal of the [[Nap Lajoie|Lajoie]] decision, the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas issued a temporary five-day injunction against the second baseman appearing for the Athletics pending further deliberations

•	Lajoie had started the season opener in an A’s uniform, but when manager [[Connie Mack]] received word of the court’s decision in the eighth inning he immediately pulled Lajoie from the game
