⦁	In the sixth inning of the second game, Boston starter George Winter pitched one high and tight to his counterpart, [[Eddie Plank]], beaning him

⦁	Plank went down immediately, and though he never lost consciousness, it took him a while to get to his feet and leave the field

⦁	[[Chick Fraser]] came in to pinch-run, then [[Bill Bernhard]] finished the game in Plank's stead
