• Francis Richter in Sporting Life reported that infielder Clyde Robinson, who had signed with the Athletics in late November and had taken a $100 advanced, had previously signed a personal contract with George Tebeau, the owner of the Kansas City franchise in the American Association

• Richter further said that Robinson had accepted a $75 dollar advance from Tebeau and that American League president Ban Johnson would void the deal with the Athletics
