Business Manager Hired
Connie Mack landed the services of Billy Sharsig to be the team's business manager. Sharsig won his local fame as the manager of the old American Association Athletics in the 1880s.

The team signed a ten-year lease for a lot at 29th and Columbia in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia. They also signed a deal with a contractor named James Foster to build a park with an expected seating capacity of about 12,000. The expected cost was $35,000.
