• Clever base running in the sixth inning by Dave Fultz forced a Cleveland fielding mistake that allowed him to score the eventual winning run in a 4-3 win for the Athletics at Columbia Park
• Fultz was on third and enticed a throw over from pitcher Bill Hart, but third baseman Bill Bradley wasn't paying attention and the ball zipped by him into foul territory all the way to the fence
• The Hughie Jennings saga came to a head when Jennings appeared on the field in Baltimore and took infield practice with the Orioles prior to a game with the Brewers
