• For the second straight game, the Athletics made seven errors and paid the price, losing, 11-5, to the Orioles in Baltimore

Chick Fraser started for the A's, but was gone after four innings, having given up ten runs on seven hits and four walks

Billy Milligan went the rest of the way and mostly prevented further damage

• Manager Connie Mack moved Jack Hayden from right field to center field, swapping him with Phil Geier

• Mack was rumored to have signed shortstop Truck Eagan from San Francisco in the California League
